A Split 4-Patch Finish from Quilting Is More Fun Than Housework

We have been pushing through quite a few kid quilts lately.  We have received just about all of the blocks from the drive so we are separating them and working on layouts.



This fun quilt top was sent in by Cheryl.  I love how she used the Split 4_patch block.  It al all about cute little hedgehogs.  And thanks to Jeanine, we had some hedgehog fabric for the backing.

Finally Some Finishes from Quilting Is More Fun Than Housework

Hey, I finally found a bit of time to write up a blog post with some of our finishes.  We are all preparing for an ice storm that is supposed to hit tonight.  Hopefully it will be a short hindrance and temps warm up quickly.  I just hope we don't lose power.

The First Split 4-Patches from Quilting Is More Fun Than Housework

The current block drive is the Split 4_patch in bright colors for kids.  We added some to the Happy Blocks we made in our last kids' block drive....

Here is the first quilt!



Don't they look fabulous together?

This quilt has a fun fruit theme.  Lots of pink so we just decided to add a pink flannel that Kristin sent for the back.  Really looking forward to playing more with these blocks.

Block Drive - Split 4 Patch from Quilting Is More Fun Than Housework

It is hard to believe that it is already time for another block drive.  I am nowhere near finished with the last one!  We are making blocks for kids again.  I first made this block DECADES ago and it took me a bit to puzzle out how to make it.  I think you are going to have some fun making them.
